Today Show Features The Money Camp

Our Money Camp for Kids program was featured on The Today Show on Monday, Aug. 7, 2006. While they did a great job with the piece about the camp and the article on their site, the intro with Michael Douglass saying, “Greed is Good” was a bit disturbing to us. Financial literacy isn’t about teaching kids to be greedy, it’s about teaching kids (and grownups) to be responsible for themselves financially and otherwise.

Our program is all about doing good and teaching kids to use their financial resources wisely; from making wise environmental choices for themselves to building businesses that improve lives and change the world. We talk about how much good you can do by having more than enough money to live on. It was great to be noticed and we’ll continue doing what we’re doing…
